Job Summary:

Precise ͵ÅÄ͵¿ú’s in-house Operations team is looking for a Junior Field Service Engineer to join its team to help to implement and support ongoing new systems and features as well as modify existing systems in our parking operations.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Junior Field Service Engineer will work alongside the operations team to develop solutions that encompass bluetooth low energy, license plate recognition and extensions of Precise ͵ÅÄ͵¿ú’s banking solutions and parking equipment.

The selected candidate will use their problem-solving skills and systematic thought process to create parking solutions and continue to service, maintain, implement and support our customers throughout British Columbia and Canada.

Location: 6993 Antrim Ave, Burnaby, BC

Employment: Full-time

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (overtime and some travel as required)

Compensation: Hourly and benefits

Hourly - $26.00 + Overtime

Benefits – Full Benefits Package after three months

Job Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Create high-tech solutions involving hardware, software, and wireless components

  • Participate in the design of plans, preliminary estimates, and details with the use of project guidelines

  • Preparation and execution of documents and solutions

  • Provide technical assistance and resolution when engineering problems are encountered

  • Other reasonable duties as assigned.

  • Able to work in the field as required by job duties

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering

  • Recent university graduates will be strongly considered

  • Familiarity with personal computer operating systems

  • Proficiency with computers and electronic devices

  • Extensive knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance

  • Must have scheduling flexibility (shift work and on-call)

  • Punctual and self-disciplined with a polite and professional attitude

  • Positive, friendly, enthusiastic, energetic, and personable

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    Mandatory Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems

  • Excellent technical communication skills: ability to explain complex solutions and processes clearly to others

  • Collaborative and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills

  • Self-managed while accurately following instructions

  • Ability to multitask effectively and stay positive and professional under high-pressure fast-paced environments

  • Adaptable and flexible
