What is the Number One Mistake Parking Operators Make When Promoting a Parking Lot?
Q&A with Marketing & Communications Manager Maria Lato.
There are various common mistakes a parking operator could make when looking to promote their parking lot—one of which is not being where their customers are—online. It is common for drivers to begin searching for parking 8 to 14 hours before arriving at their destination. That is why it is no surprise that having an online presence for your location is key when helping potential customers find your facility.
We asked Precise ͵ÅÄ͵¿ú’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Maria Lato, about the number one common mistake parking operators make when promoting their parking lot.
Q. What is the number one mistake parking operators make when promoting a parking lot?
A. Usually, the entrance of a parking lot is on a different street than the main building. So the number 1 mistake parking operators tend to make is not creating a digital map listing for the parking lot itself or registering their building address as the parking lot address when setting up locations on digital maps such as Waze, Google and Apple Maps or with in-car navigation systems, causing drivers to circle the block countless times to find parking, also increasing the chance that they end up parking at a nearby competing lot instead of yours.
