Parking Ambassador (Event Attendant)

Job Summary:
Event Attendants report to the Operations Manager and provides all event operations such as set up, traffic direction, payment collections, and answers general event parking inquiries. The working environment is an external one, which includes exposure to cold, dirt, vehicle exhausts, noise, dust, heat, odours, rain, and snow. This position also requires working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and some statutory holidays.
Location: Downtown Vancouver
Employment: Part-time position, shift schedule varies depending on the events taking place
Hours: 3 to 4 hour shift, depending on the number of events taking place
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Mandatory Qualifications:
Event Attendant and previous experience in parking operations are a plus; training will be provided
General knowledge of electronic equipment an asset
Job Responsibilities/ Duties:
Event set up & wrap up (signage, pylons, etc.)
Direct vehicles entering the parking lot on where and how to park and/or pay
Collect payment (Moneris terminal, cash handling and/or QR codes for payment)
Provide assistance to parkers as needed and answer any related questions they may have
Balance cash records at end of shift
Other duties as assigned
